OVERVIEW

Outlook Therapeutics is expanding its European infrastructure in preparation for commercial launch and continued growth across multiple markets. We are seeking a hands-on Head of Finance, Europe to build and lead regional financial operations while partnering closely with the Head of Europe and the CFO.

This role is responsible for establishing financial rigor, supporting commercial readiness, and building scalable processes across European entities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Leadership and Strategy

  • Partner with the Head of Europe and CFO on financial planning, risk management, and strategic decision making
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial modeling across European operations
  • Deliver clear financial insights and executive-level reporting to support leadership decisions

Accounting, Compliance, and Controls

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for European entities in alignment with US HQ
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, payroll, and regulatory requirements across multiple countries
  • Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial governance
  • Manage internal and external audits for EU operations

Operational Finance and Systems

  • Lead NetSuite ERP enhancements to support European sales, supply chain, and reporting needs
  • Support revenue recognition processes in partnership with US Finance
  • Oversee procure-to-pay, invoicing, and expense management workflows
  • Implement and manage EU expense tools and credit card programs

Vendor and Stakeholder Management

  • Manage external accounting, tax, payroll, and statutory service providers
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure strong value for cost
  • Partner cross-functionally with commercial, HR, and operations leaders to support launch readiness

Team and Organizational Development

  • Build and scale a European finance function aligned with company growth
  • Coach and support regional leaders and stakeholders on financial processes and planning

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience leading European finance operations across multi-entity environments
  • Strong background in accounting, FP&A, and regulatory compliance
  • Experience partnering with global headquarters teams
  • ERP experience required, NetSuite strongly preferred
  • Fluency in English required, German strongly preferred
  • Experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, or regulated industries preferred

REPORTING STRUCTURE

This role reports to the CFO and partners closely with the Head of Europe.
