ABOUT OUTLOOK THERAPEUTICS
Outlook Therapeutics (Nasdaq: OTLK) is a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company redefining the standard of care in retinal disease. In the United States, our lead product has received FDA approval, making it the first and only FDA-approved ophthalmic formulation of its kind for the treatment of wet AMD, and we are preparing for US commercial launch. Our lead product is also the first ophthalmic formulation of its kind to receive Marketing Authorization from the European Commission and the UK MHRA for the treatment of wet age-related macular degeneration (wet AMD), and has launched across Germany, Austria, and the UK. Driven by the stories of the patients we serve, we are united with the vision-care community around a single goal: a future where everyone with retinal disease can envision a brighter world.

Employment Type – Full-time

This is a rare ground-floor moment at a company hitting its commercial inflection point. As a lean, fast-moving organization, we offer scope and ownership that larger companies can’t: your work is visible, your decisions matter, and you’ll help build the function rather than simply maintain it. You’ll partner directly with senior leadership and see a clear line between what you do and patients gaining access to a new treatment option.
You will build and lead Outlook Therapeutics’ national Strategic Account, GPO, and Contracting function from the ground up — operating initially as a player-coach on the company’s most consequential provider relationships while standing up the field organization, playbooks, and governance needed to support a first-in-class ophthalmic biologic launch.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Strategic Account & GPO Strategy
- Develop and execute the national strategic account and GPO strategy for ophthalmology-focused GPOs, retina MSOs, community-based retina practices, and retina networks.
- Build a segmentation and prioritization framework across patient volume, anti-VEGF utilization, purchasing influence, organizational structure, payer mix, and strategic importance.
- Lead relationship-building and negotiations with executive leadership and contracting decision-makers at priority GPOs and purchasing organizations.
- Track the evolving consolidation of the U.S. retina market — private-equity activity, MSO expansion, acquisitions, and shifts in purchasing influence — and translate it into strategy.
- Build long-term strategic partnerships with priority organizations that extend beyond transactional contracting.
Contracting & Provider Economics
- Structure and negotiate GPO participation, membership, and purchasing agreements, including volume tiers, rebates, administrative fees, and performance requirements.
- Partner with Finance and Market Access to design contract structures that balance provider acquisition economics, utilization, market access objectives, and patient affordability.
- Own contract governance — approval workflows, performance monitoring, compliance requirements, and periodic business reviews.
- Apply deep knowledge of Medicare Part B reimbursement, ASP dynamics, and practice economics to account and contracting decisions, and assess downstream impact to gross-to-net, ASP, and government pricing.
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Government Pricing to ensure every agreement meets applicable laws, regulations, and company policy.
Executive & C-Suite Engagement
- Serve as Outlook Therapeutics’ senior commercial relationship owner for the largest, most strategically important retina provider organizations.
- Build trusted relationships with CEOs, COOs, CFOs, Chief Strategy Officers, practice owners, and physician leadership boards.
- Lead executive-level discussions on contracting, purchasing strategy, and strategic partnership opportunities, and deliver quarterly business reviews to account C-suites.
- Represent Outlook Therapeutics as a credible, long-term partner within the retina community.
Team Building & Leadership
- Design the organizational structure and operating model for a field-based Strategic Account and Business Engagement Manager team.
- Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop Strategic Account Directors and Business Engagement Managers as the function scales.
- Operate in a player-coach capacity initially, personally managing priority accounts while building the broader team.
- Establish account-planning standards, KPIs, and governance, and build a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, compliance, and customer partnership.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Launch Readiness - Partner with Market Access, Payer Access, Pricing, Government Pricing, Trade & Distribution, Sales, Field Reimbursement, and Medical Affairs to keep account strategy fully integrated with the broader commercial and access strategy.
- Build the strategic account and GPO launch-readiness plan, prioritizing organizations critical to early adoption and establishing pre-launch engagement strategies.
- Define launch KPIs and dashboards to track GPO participation, contracted accounts, covered lives, and contract performance, and flag risks tied to provider consolidation or competitive contracting.
- Own forecasts, budgets, and business cases for strategic account contracting, and present performance, progress, and risks to executive leadership and, when appropriate, the Board.
